USI CHampionship Volunteer Job Descriptions:
Cart Drivers:
Drive the cart that carries the golf bags for each group of FUTURES Professionals (carts will hold three golf bags each including one in the passenger seat).
Keep an unofficial score for each player in the group - to be turned in after nine holes.
Each cart driver must be at least 16 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.

Scoring: (include Scoring Tent Scorecard Verifiers, Scoreboard Recorders, Nine-Hole Scorers and Leader Board Volunteers).
Receive, verify and post scores from golfers.
Check scorecards for hole by hole scores and then total.
Posting scores on scoreboard & checking for accuracy.
Post scores on one of the leader boards on the course (communicated with scoring tent using radio).
Volunteers need to have neat handwriting, be accurate and quick.
Scoring volunteers must have knowledge of golf.

Marshals:
Marshals are responsible for gallery control and safety. They also assist the professional by spotting balls and preventing interference with play.
Communicate with gallery giving instructions as needed.
Hold “Quiet Please” signs.
Marshals must have knowledge of golf etiquette.

Timing:
Responsible for assisting and maintaining the pace of play during the tournament by spotting and reporting gaps in play.
Assist Marshals with gallery control & serve as a “forecaddie” watching shots and helping to look for errant shots.
Record the timing of each group as they proceed along the course.
Timing Volunteers must have knowledge of golf.

Driving Range:
Distribute Range Balls to golfers.
Display Nameplates by golfers.
Work closely with golf course staff to ensure adequate supply of balls.

Hospitality:
Working at the VIP tent.
Assisting spectators with wayfinding.
Working in information or registration areas.

Main Gate:
Welcome visitors and provide information about the tournament including pairing sheets and Tournament Site maps.
Sell tickets at the Main Gate.
Collect tickets from spectators.
