Bequests or trust distributions are simple ways to remember Havenwood-Heritage
Heights . They are generally easy to arrange and do not affect a donor’s
assets until he or she passes away. Donors may choose to leave a specific
gift to Havenwood-Heritage Heights (for example, “I bequeath the sum
of Five Thousand Dollars to Havenwood-Heritage Heights.”), or a percentage
of the balance of a donor’s estate after taxes, expenses, and specific
bequests have been paid (for example, “I bequeath ten percent of the
residue of my estate to Havenwood-Heritage Heights.”)
Since Havenwood-Heritage Heights will likely not receive a charitable bequest
or trust distribution until sometime in the future, its terms should be
as general as possible. In the past, charitable bequests have made possible
for Havenwood-Heritage Heights to undertake projects which benefit all
residents,
such as the Great Room at Havenwood.
