It all began 40 years ago with
a simple vision – a faith-based, inclusive retirement community where
people would live in independent cottages with access to supportive services.
In 1967, the Reverend Dr. Everett R. Barrows and his colleagues opened the
doors to New Hampshire’s first independent living retirement community
offering full health services for seniors in a comfortable, secure, and friendly
environment.
Today, Havenwood-Heritage Heights is the largest Continuing Care Retirement Community in New Hampshire and welcomes people of all backgrounds. Residents live in cottages with a self-sufficient lifestyle on beautifully landscaped grounds, or if they prefer, congregate living in the Lodge with meals served in the main dining room. Health services are available for all levels of care appropriate to each resident’s needs, from basic care through skilled nursing.
Since these early beginnings, the original Havenwood Campus has been joined by a second campus, Heritage Heights. Both include residences with floor plans ranging from cozy alcove-studios to one, two and three bedroom homes with added features. Havenwood-Heritage Heights is known for its innovative services and quality care. The distinguishing mark of the Community is its philosophy, which promotes independence and involvement at all levels of living. We are proud to be leaders in our field, continuing to meet the needs of our residents today and tomorrow.
