 Dear Friend, You are probably reading this letter because either you, or someone you love, is considering joining us here at Havenwood-Heritage Heights (H-HH). Well, I was once in your shoes. Here is my story of how and why I made the decision to move to H-HH. I hope it helps you with yours. My journey to Havenwood-Heritage Heights really began with my wife's death about three years ago. Although the two of us had visited retirement communities we were not ready to make the move. After 53 years of marriage, losing my wife was very difficult. My grief was overwhelming as we were so great together, but she would not have tolerated any intense period of mourning. After taking time to gather my thoughts, my decision was clear - I would sell my house and move. I chose Havenwood-Heritage Heights because I wanted to be free of property maintenance. I wanted the security of an organized retirement community for present and future maintenance. One of my favorite amenities is the Fitness Center. I endeavor to maintain a regular schedule of use of this facility. In addition, I have rekindled some old friendships of classmates from my days at the University of New Hampshire. Some of these folks I had not seen since I graduated! Joining H-HH has been a wonderful decision for me. I am free to do the things I want to and not burdened by the worries of home maintenance.
