If you’d prefer to take in New Hampshire’s great outdoors at a more relaxed pace, you’re still in luck: anyone 65 and older gets free day admission to all of New Hampshire’s state parks as well as $5 off of nightly camping frees at almost every location.
For those who would like to hit the slopes during their golden years, New Hampshire has plenty of amazing ski destinations, many of which offer discounts to seniors. For example, Black Mountain ski slope in Jackson offers discounts on day passes and season passes to anyone over the age of 65–and “super seniors” (that is, those 76 years and older) can purchase a Super Senior Pass for an even bigger discount.
Seniors who enjoy hunting and fishing also have discounts available to them. Anyone who is over 67 years old and was born after January 1, 1948 can take advantage of discounted senior licenses for fishing and hunting. Annual licenses run from $3 for a muzzleloader and archery license to $7 for freshwater fishing or a combination hunting and fishing license (with an additional $2 transaction fee per license). New Hampshire residents who were born before December 31, 1947 can take advantage of an even bigger discount; for these seniors, fishing, combination hunting and fishing, archery, muzzleloader, trapping and clam/oyster licenses are permanently free.
